Hola or just Hi?

I'm so glad, my visa came today!
So now it's official I can live in Ecuador for a year...

I have bought a flag, because you know I can ;-)

What is Ecuador?

When I tell someone that I'm going to Ecuador, everybody responds in the same way...
- "What the hell. What do you want there?"
- "Ohh... But aren't you scared? I know someone who died there"
- "I hope you will come back"

I mean what country are they talking about? 

Ecuador is a wonderful country.

Ecuador is a country in South America.
It is bordered by Colombia to the north and Peru to the south.
The Galapagos Islands are also a part of Ecuador even though they are more than 600 mils west of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean.

Alpaca

The Pacific coast is tropical. Inland from the coast is subtropical and extremely humid. Most of the climate in the area of the Andes is moderate without extreme temperatures. The Amazon rain forest covers the eastern part of Ecuador.
Ecuador has a fantastic wildlife because of the diverse climate.

I'm going to live in Ibarra.
Ibarra is located in the Northerm Highlands.

A New Adventure

I'v made this blog, so everyone who is interested in following my exchange year, can read here.
I'm leaving little Denmark the 20th august, so I can start a new exciting adventure in Ecuador.
I'm an exchange student through the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.
